hameln pharma gmbh is a pharmaceutical company whose products serve the well-being of patients, especially where quick help is urgently needed or even lifesaving. It was founded in 1950 as the “Pharmaceutical Factory Hameln” and is now the head office of the hameln pharma group of companies.

Over the past few decades, the owner-managed company has developed into an internationally active pharmaceutical group. With our location in Hameln and affiliated companies in the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Australia as well as numerous sales partners, we serve our customers in over 50 countries.

We specialize in the development, licensing and marketing of high-quality, generic injectable medicines. We sell these worldwide under our own brand.

hameln pharma ltd has been supplying high-quality injectable generics to the UK market for almost 50 years.

As a specialized supplier of injectable medicines to the secondary care sector of the UK National Health Service, private hospitals, wholesalers and other international markets, hameln pharma ltd plays a key role in the hameln group.

Flexibility and robustness of supply is critical to our daily business. Thanks in part to our own modern warehouse and direct distribution model, hameln is recognised as a key supplier to the NHS, with an exemplary supply and customer service record.

Since the company was founded in the 1950s, the European markets have been of great importance to hameln pharma. Through long-term cooperation with local sales partners, we have introduced numerous products and firmly established the “hameln” brand in an increasing number of markets.

Building on this foundation, we founded hameln pharma ApS in Glostrup, Denmark in 2019. Understanding what different health systems require is an essential prerequisite to meeting the needs of our customers in the most effective way and, in many cases, this means relying on a local presence.

As our business and the number of customers in Australia continued to grow, we took this as an opportunity to establish our local company and founded hameln pharma Pty Ltd in Melbourne in January 2020.

Different molecules can sometimes be the preferred treatment option in different countries. That’s why we utilise a local market presence in order to support our customers in the best possible way, using knowledge of the requirements in each respective country.

In the past years we have been able to expand the existing markets in Asia and establish new partnerships within the region in order to be there for our customers directly and personally. Among others with our own representative office in Taiwan.

With the establishment of a local subsidiary of hameln pharma B.V., the newest member of the hameln pharma group of companies, we are now able to support our customers directly from our dedicated Dutch operation. From January 1, 2021 the hameln pharma products can be directly ordered at hameln pharma. Initially the distribution will be executed by Addimed pharma B.V.

In taking this step, hameln pharma is seeking to intensify the collaboration with the Dutch healthcare professionals. Our high quality injection preparations, which are often used in intensive care and in the operating theatre, have been a reliable and affordable solution for Dutch hospitals for decades.

Being close to customers – hameln pharma lives this philosophy consistently and has established its own presence in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2021.

Whilst for many years the hameln pharma products have already been established in the Scandinavian countries, hameln pharma AB, the new member of the hameln family has officially started business on the first of February 2022.

This allows us to combine the advantage of an internationally oriented headquarters team with a team that is familiar with and deeply involved in the local healthcare system requirements.

The establishment of hameln pharma ApS Norway strengthens our local market presence with the aim of intensifying our cooperation with local authorities and healthcare professionals.
