Our Executive Management Team leads and guides the company, utilising decades of experience and cultivating a future-oriented mindset – always open to change.

A positive and appreciative mindset has been paramount in the company’s philosophy since the company was founded. The trust in the employees, the development of experts and managers and the motivation to explore new ways of working are still central components of the corporate and management culture across all company locations.

Our Executive Management Team consists of six members. Each member is responsible for an area within the company under the overall management of Christian Kanzelmeyer and Beate Küter.

Christian KanzelmeyerChief Executive Officer

Christian began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1987 at Merck KGaA Pharma Germany. In 1999 he took over the management of the Merck KGaA Group in Austria. In his subsequent position as Corporate Vice President Business Development, he was responsible for global business developments at ALTANA Pharma AG.

With his extensive experience in other management positions in well-known pharmaceutical companies, he has been running the business of hameln pharma gmbh very successfully since 2010. He is supported by an international team of specialists from the pharmaceutical industry, the members of the Executive Management Team:

Beate KüterChief Executive Officer

After graduating with a master’s degree in economics, Beate Küter started her career in the pharmaceutical industry in market research at Rhône-Poulenc-Rorer GmbH.

In the subsequent years she took over several management responsibilities, mainly in the field of sales and marketing, that enabled her to generate a vast range of experience as well as broad market knowledge for various indications.

Her 25+ years of experience in positions of responsibility mostly in small to mid-sized corporations make Beate the perfect fit to succeed Christian Kanzelmeyer.

Stephen WatkinChief Commercial Officer

After graduating in pharmacology and chemistry from Sheffield University in the UK, Stephen was responsible for various therapeutic and consumer-oriented areas in regional and global marketing roles.

With more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and management in the pharmaceutical industry, Stephen originally came to hameln pharma as Managing Director in the United Kingdom and is now responsible for global sales and marketing activities as a member of the international management team.

Anja Bosbach Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer

Anja brings over 20 years of experience in the field of Regulatory Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry after studying food chemistry. Since 2010 she has served as Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer and joined the Executive Management Team in September 2018. Prior to that she was also responsible for different functions such as Pharmacovigilance and Quality Management.

Today she is responsible for an international team of 20 colleagues, located over different locations in three countries.

Dr. Christopher KleinChief Corporate Development Officer

Christopher brings over 20 years of business development, portfolio management and finance experience to his position as CCDO. After studying biotechnology and business administration, he oversaw international corporate transactions for a global consulting firm, before heading global M&A activities for Sandoz and helping to build up the biosimilar division.

Since 2017 he has been responsible for corporate development as a member of the Executive Management Team at hameln pharma. Christopher and his team develop strategies for the further successful growth of the company.

Kai ReimersChief Supply Chain Officer

After studying business informatics, Kai began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of IT integration. Today he has more than 20 years of experience in process and organizational development in production of liquid pharmaceuticals and in supply chain management.

He has headed the Operations & Supply division as a member of the Executive Management Team since 2018 and in this position is responsible for quality management and supply chain.

Frank JahrandChief Financial Officer

Frank began his career after completing his studies as a controller in an international group of companies. As the later CFO and managing director of a division of this group, he was responsible for corporate finance and the group structure with its legal entities for nine years and supported various locations in Germany and the Czech Republic.

With over 20 years of experience in the areas of finance, controlling and general management, Frank has been enriching the hameln pharma team as CFO and member of the Executive Management Team since August 2019.
